Stock Spirits Group (SSG), one of the fastest growing spirits companies in Europe, is delighted to be able to announce that ten of its brands have received industry recognition in competitions in Brussels and New York.
SSG has received nine awards* at this year’s International Taste & Quality Institute (iTQi) awards in Brussels. The recognition saw another strong showing from SSG’s Italian business, Stock S.r.l., with 3*** awards for Stock Sambuca, Gran Gala and Gala Caffe, while Czech based Stock Plzen-Bozkov s.r.o. brands Amundsen Cherry and Key Rum Cream were also awarded the top 3*** accolade.
Regarded as the leading independent Chef and Sommelier-based organisation dedicated to judging, honouring and promoting superior tasting food and drink from around the world, the iTQi Superior Taste Awards deliver an internationally recognised expert assessment. The iTQi judging is conducted on a strictly “blind” basis, thus eliminating any influence of packaging or product identification -- resulting in a truly independent and pure assessment based on the following five criteria: visual aspect, aroma, taste, texture and overall evaluation.
Meanwhile in New York, Orzel vodka followed up its Chairman’s Trophy for best vodka in March’s Ultimate Spirits Challenge with another Chairman’s Trophy, this time in the Ultimate Cocktail Challenge where the award was for best Martini vodka. Orzel, a Polish vodka produced by Stock Polska Sp. z o.o., collected the top prize after receiving what judges described as an “extraordinary” score of 96/100.
Finally, at the annual International Spirits Challenge 2010 awards SSG received a further five awards**. Gran Gala was awarded a silver medal, Limonce and Fernet Stock Citrus both received bronze awards while Key Rum Cream and Stock Prestige received commended medals. Celebrating its 15th year, the International Sprits Challenge focuses on the tasting and promotion of outstanding quality spirits from around the world. Spirits are tasted and rigorously judged by the industry's leading international spirits experts.
Commenting on the awards, Chris Heath, Chief Executive Officer of Stock Spirits Group said:
“It is once again pleasing to see the strength of our brands across our three key markets of Poland, Italy and the Czech Republic. The fact that our brands continue to excel at blind tasting competitions is very reassuring and confirms our ethos of delivering the very best quality liquids to our consumers at a competitive price.
